"An Chlachan" ag An Chúirt Heritage Centre
Situated in some of the most breathtaking scenery in Ireland, An Chúirt Hotel and Heritage Centre stand on the same ground as the original hostelry built by Lord George Hill in the middle of the 19th century. The Heritage Centre, adjacent to the hotel allows the visitor to experience what life was like in Gweedore during the 1800’s with life-like models, audio visual and interactive displays.

Glencolumbkille Folk Village and Museum
Fr. McDyer’s Folk Village Museum recreates a village or ‘clachan’, where the houses are exact replicas of the dwellings used by local people in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. Steeped in culture, tradition and language, the museum depicts bygone lifestyles in SouthWest Donegal through an interpretative centre, craft shop, teahouse, schoolhouse, sheebeen and thatched cottages. Each house is equipped with the furniture, artifacts and utensils of its particular period.

Áislann Chill Chartha
Áislann Chill Chartha is a community resource centre based in Kilcar catering for both the local population and visitors alike. Facilities include indoor sports hall for basketball, soccer, badminton, bowls, hockey, volleyball and snooker. There are tourist information, email and internet services, and feature films are shown in a small cinema. Visitors to the centre can access reading materials, historical materials, and local photographs may be viewed.

Dunlewey Lakeside Centre
Ionad Cois Locha or the Dunlewey Lakeside Centre is situated on the shores of Dunlewey Lough in the shadow of the haunting and mysterious Poison Glen and at the foot of Mount Errigal, the highest mountain in the county. The centre tells the story of the renowned weaver, Manus Ferry, and his home has been reconstructed to give the visitor the full flavour of life in Donegal in the middle of the last century. It offers something for all the family and facilities include weaving displays, a lake with paddle boats and canoes, an indoor play area, lakeside walks and pony trekking. There are demonstrations in carding, spinning and weaving wool as well as guided tours of the restored house and farm, storytelling and boat trips on Dunlewey lake. There is an adventure play area, pet animals, tea room, restaurant and craft shop. There are also traditional music sessions every Tuesday during July and August.

Isaac Butt Visitor Centre - Cloghan
A restored schoolhouse is home to an exhibition on the life and times of Isaac Butt. Born in 1813, Isaac Butt Q.C. M.P. was a patriot, lawyer and political economist. He is known as the “Father of Home Rule”.

Glenveagh National Park
Glenveagh Castle and National Park cover 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, woodland and wild bogs. The park is home to many species of wildlife including Ireland’s largest herd of native Red Deer and the parklands include the peaks of Donegal’s two highest mountains, Errigal and Slieve Snacht. The park has a visitor centre with excellent audiovisual displays. In contrast with the rugged surroundings is the magnificent Glenveagh Castle, which was built in the years 1870 - 1873. Visitors can enjoy a fascinating guided tour of the Castle. The Castle gardens are among the finest in Ireland. There is a restaurant in the Visitors Centre and a tearoom in the Castle. Tours of the castle gardens, nature walks and longer hill walks are available.

Tory Island
Ten miles out in the Atlantic, the island’s remoteness has been a
factor in the preservation of the native Irish language, traditions, songs, dances and way of life. Tory has its own indigenous school of painters. It is an ideal destination for the ornithologist and has a hotel, a hostel and a number of B&Bs. There is an Art Gallery, a Tea and Craft Shop, a Diving Centre, a shop and a social club. Transport to and from the island is by boat from Bunbeg and Magheroarty.

Arranmore Island
Arranmore island is located some 4kms off the mainland with some spectacular cliff scenery, sandy beaches and lively nightlife. Transport to and from the island is by ferry (approx. 20 minutes).
